2025 BMW C400 INNER FENDER - MIKE MAS

Hello BMW riders, I’m really enjoying my new 2025 BMW C400 bike. Whats’ not to like, there’s nothing missing other than a speed control, which I installed a grip speed control which works fine. This is truly a BMW of scooters.

Anyhow, on every bike I buy, the first thing I order, is an inner fender. Don’t know why the factory would not install one and allow rain, dirt and mud to sling all over your beautiful engine and suspension.

I found this beautiful inner fender in Ebay the sellers store name is HEXN. They have been helpful in every way. Please note they make two different inner fenders, one for 2018-2024 and then a newer design inner fender for the 2025 C400 its different.

Installation is quick and easy. All you do is remove the muffler guard with on screw, then remove one Tork bolt which supports the muffler. Next mount the supplied bracket to the same Tork bolt. On the rear, a second included bracket mounts to the lower shock bolt and mount. The whole installation takes 20 minutes and you’re done. I suggest using blue locktite on the screws that mount to the fender.

The fender looks amazing and most important it works!

Regards Mike Mas

@Low On Cash :

Nice find, nice work.

For anyone interested, the two links on ebay by seller HEXN Motorcycle appear to be these ('25, and then '18-'24):

FYI, I wrote a report here, a year or so ago, about my installing an inner fender on my '23 C 400 GT: www.bmw-scooters.com/threads/c-400-x-gt-rear-fender-mudguard-my-diy-instructions-was-help-wanted-solved.3304/

The one I got from AliExpress -- www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806959265917.html -- was considerably less expensive, but the one you found looks much more robust, better designed, and has more parts to it. It would probably have eliminated all the trial-and-error work I had to do, to get the fender centered between the two shocks back there.

Given what looks like better construction, if I had to do it again I probably would get the one you got (well, the corresponding one for the earlier models).

BTW, the one I got JUST touches the flex case, when the flex case is lowered all the way down, with the bike parked.

Happy motoring.

Thanks for the replies - The fender sits just above the tire so I would imagine the case would still work but I'll check it tomm for sure. Keep in mind mine is a 2025 model and its very different than the earlier modes.

Ride Safe - Mike

Thanks for the images you put up. I noticed mine has more spring clearance and it also extends way aft maybe 10-12" further than the old style inner fender. But it looks like it works fine.
