I need to fit a speedo cable to my 125 gtv and i have no way of knowing the correct routing under the front mudguard. If i look up i see a gap between the mudguard and fork where they meet in the centre, this seems an obvious route but would run the cable up against the shock spring and possibly in the line of wheel travel.
My guess is that it runs up the mudguard and through a tiny gap on the inside of the spring top, this would give the cable a straighter route.
Im a bit stuck with this guys and wonder if someone can help, a picture would be brilliant.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention, i know there is a rubber guide on the cable and this is secured to the inside of the mudguard, this is why i question the top end. The upper routing behind the glove box looks obvious and i should be ok with this.

I talked my missus out of the gtv in favour of the 946. That's the only vespa that really turned me on. But to be honest the gts is a workhorse, but the bmw gets better mpg at the same highway speeds as it's just loafing along and the 300 is W.O.T.

this was'nt my first choise of scoot, lol. actually, ive kinda fallen for it, it's such an evil handling little thing it keeps you on your toes. as it is only a 125 the m.p.g. is around 80 to the gallon which is great but...........60mph, flat to the knocker, lol

Give the 946 a bash when you can. The extended wheelbase and quick handling has me won over. I think it responds best with a flick of the hips vs direct inputs on the bars. It responds like my Italian road pushbike. Quite a surprising little beast.

they are 8500 quid over here!!!!! makes our BM's look like value for money. i do have to admit tho, they look very, very nice.

I'm surprised you're only seeing 60mph out of the 125cc. The 3 valve 150 US spec pushes my 14.5 stone frame at over 70mph if you sit on the throttle. Are L badge bikes also governed besides the 125cc limit?
