Fellow BMW Maxi Scooter riders, I'll be leaving Denver Colorado on my 2014 C650GT on June 19 to do a Bun Burner Gold, (1500mi in 24 hrs), to Perry, GA.
Then after a good night sleep going to Jacksonville Beach, FL to start a CC50, (coast to coast in 50 hrs), to San Diego, CA. I should be leaving Jacksonville Beach early on the morning of June 21.
After getting to San Diego, CA, I'm heading North to Sacrament to visit a long time friend and then doing a SS!K, (Saddle Sore 1000), back to Denver, CO.
Anyone willing to be a witness at any of my starting or ending points would be more than welcome.
TIA Frank

I'm about an hour north of Perry, I have a lift and tools if something happens. Not sure what will be my health situation when you pass through but if you want my contact info, PM me.

Just an update, I took my scooter in for service just 350 miles short of the 24,000 mile target because the battery warning light came on, replaced the battery and went on another ride and the same thing happened. After checking the output and getting a reading of 11.8v max at 3-4,000 rpm I took the battery out and put it on a new battery tender. then I took the scooter back to the dealer on the day I had already made an appointment for the 24k service. that was last Thursday the 9th. The manager calls me today with the bad news, It's the stator which is in the engine casing and the part has to be ordered from Germany and will take 4 weeks to get. So Long story short I had to cancel my trip plans for another time, maybe in late July.

I remember yours is a 2014, has the chain tensioner been done? You're rolling near 24,000 miles and the dealer is about to take your motor apart, if you don't have the hydrolic tensioner and they will combine labor it could be $400 well spent for parts and part of the $500 labor cost could be shared in the stator repair. Just looking for a silver lining....
