Motorrad announced on their facebook feed that the electric scoot is going into production and will be available in the near future.

Price unknown, 100km range 120km top speed and they claim it will charge in 4 hours on a standard 220v euro outlet. So I guess double that for a 110v US outlet? Nice looking but still a tad short on range and on speed...might be good in a big city, but who wants to spend that kind of money on something that is difficult to go cross country on.

For a LOT less money you can get better range and performance from the Zero or the Brammo. They have some work to do.

How much $$ is the C evolution? The Brammo is sold locally for around 18k which I think is totally expensive.

Wow... I can buy a lot of petrol for $11,000 after buying a standard C. I suppose it prob qualifies for green technology rebates depending on where it's sold.

Yeah... I think I'd rather buy a Zero and support a local (American) company and save money at the same time. But I'll also wait until the technology becomes a bit more affordable. I can buy a LOT of ICE motorcycle for even $18,000.00.
