C400x under seat light.

I think you may be mistaken. Let me explain ...

On my '23 C 400 GT, the underseat light is just forward of the area meant to hold the tool roll with stretchy straps. Here's a pic I just took, from the aft end of the upraised seat, looking forward, i.e., toward the seat's hinge up front:

I suspect that on your '23 C 400 X the light is in the same spot.

Note that the light is difficult to find (especially when unlit), isn't very bright when lit (despite its seemingly bright appearance in that photo), and does NOT go on by merely lifting the seat up (as is the case on some other scooters). Rather, the ignition must also be on.

Further, I did some parts searching at Max's BMW (my local shop, and it has a reasonable parts-searching capability).

If you go to https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/partsfiche.aspx and click on "C400GT 21" (the latest entry for the GT), and scroll your way down the diagrams, you'll come to the entry for the BENCH SEAT. Clicking on that shows this, when you scroll down to the bottom of the right-hand panel:

Note that last entry, LICENSE PLATE LAMP, LED, part # 63 26 9 481 840.

Next, go to https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/partsfiche.aspx again, but this time click on "C400X 21" (the latest entry for the X), scroll down, and click on the BENCH SEAT, and then scroll to the bottom of the right-hand panel:

This shows the same part # for the lamp.

Yep, that diagram doesn't specifically include model year 2023, but wait, there's more!

If you then go to https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/PartsSearch.aspx , the parts-search page, ignore the drop-down choices, and just enter 63 26 9 481 840 in the "Part numbers" box, and click the "Search" box, you'll get this:

And that page states: "Fits C400X 21 (K09) 04/20-05/24 ECE" ...

... which indicates to me that your '23 C 400 X should have the underseat light.

That's all I got. It's the best I can do on this side of the pond, because I don't believe the C 400 X variant was ever sold over here (despite what that last pic shows -- if the X was in fact imported to the USA, I bet very few were purchased).

wspollack I owe you an apology, found it today when I left to power turned on, I had it in my head that it would light up just when the seat was up.
