CalMoto BMW Vespa Monthly Ride

This Sunday is the monthly ride sponsored by my local dealer. If anyone is in the area and would like to join we meet up at 8.30 at the Mtn. View shop with wheels up at 9am. The ride is to go through Big Basin, Bonny Doone, and finally end up at Alice's Restaurant...(yes, it's where you can get anything that you want).

Made it through Cold (mid 40's) Wet Rainy Windy Twisty Debris laden Santa Cruz single lane mountain road ride with pillion. It rained damn near the whole time but was the best ride we've had on this machine. We kept up without incident with the R1200GS's that made the ride, started with 6 and finished with 4. We of course were the most comfortable with our lap apron and heated seats/grips. The GS's were showing 'snowflake' on their dashpanel, I was not, so that might say something about the sensor placement and how accurate it is to real ambient temps. I believe that it reads accurate but influenced by the bodywork and the engine heat. It did actually snow a bit just at a bit higher elevation according to the pictures I saw on social media that day.
