Floor board removal

For those of you curious what we're talking about, it's step 6 from https://cdn.0brandcommerce.com/tucanourbano/pdf/R233PRO.pdf

I, too, tried yanking the rubber floor board upwards - while it gave a little, it also had enough resistance that I didn't want to force it. I see now from the diagram that I started much lower down than it indicates. I'd call this installation step "optional", but it'd be nice to secure the skirt down there.

You know what, I yanked a little harder at the right spot and it revealed the screw hole mentioned in the picture without a big fuss. I'll have to try setting the skirt up properly now.

You can see the two tabs - fore and one aft, they seem quite sturdy and difficult to break. They went back into place with no issue after pounding on the floorboard with my palm.
