News flash is that, after a trial period that started in 2016, France is now offiially allowing lane splitting (under conditions, such as other traffic stopped or moving slowly) for motorcycles.
Most European countries allow it or at least condone it so it is as prevalent there as it is in Asia, Africa and California. Says one rider: "Rest of world to follow soon!"
