I find it's really hit and miss (more miss than hit) to get my handlebar locking to work. Anyone else having this issue? Is there a trick to it or does it need to be fixed by the dealer?

I found that if my handlebar is turned fully to the left (typical parking position), the lock will not engage. So, when I stop to park, I turn the handlebar fully to the left, but then pull it back to the right a few centimeters/couple of inches, and the lock engages every time in that position.

If you are unable to find a magic position like this, where it seems that the lockable position varies from time to time, the dealer may need to find and fix the cause of that. I hope you are able to find the right position to lock it, so that you do not have to take you bike in for a fix. Good luck!

I tried your combination, but it didn't work for me. Oddly enough, after playing around with it, my secret combination is:

-Turn off bike
-Turn handlebars all the way to the left
-Hold in start button until it acts like clicks as if it's locked, but it won't really be locked
-Move handlebars an inch to the right
-Hold in start button again until it clicks the handlebars
-Now the handlebars are really locked.

Really stupid, but it works consistently.
