For those interested -- looking around at still-made maxi scooters, and, if in North America, willing to wait -- there's a pretty thorough review of the features, along with a short ride test, by Scooteria:

IMO, that's the sort of scooter BMW should be making, instead of: 1) dropping the 600/650 maxis a few years ago, or; 2) adding optional puddle lights to the C 400 GT.

(Scooteria is a vlogger whom I subscribe to -- along with his English language channel, Marc Stones -- and I don't believe he's just a shill for any particular vendor. That is, I trust him, and have followed his lead on my Meteor 350, in terms of the brands of replacement shocks and belt-drive conversion.)

Some of the features of the 575 i Premium: electric windscreen, TPMS, cruise control, excellent dash display, 15" wheels ...

The 575 doesn't appear on Kymco's USA site yet, the largest currently listed there being the 550 (AK 550i Premium - KYMCO USA). But it looks as if Kymco is actively catering to NA, just a year or two later than some other parts of the world.

I finally got a chance to ride the Kymco 550i Premium a few days ago. I could have taken if for a long ride but really all I needed to do was ride it in the parking lot. This is a wonderful bike in many ways. I liked almost everything about it. The looks, the sound, the way it handled, how smooth it was, the accessories like cruise control, the electronic windshield, the parking break, the TPMS, etc..... It felt like a quality machine and I believe it is. But it just did not really fit me. It felt like the floor boards were three inches higher than on the C400. I could not streach out my legs when riding in either position that was available, and while this was not an issue for a short ride, I could tell that it would be for a longer ride. Now I could get my legs to stretch out by removing the lumbar support but then I would be reaching for the handlebars. I can't ride like that because my back will start to hurt after a short time. There was no good solution without a lot of work to get it to be as comfortable as the C400. (I'm 5'10").

If I were younger the fit would probably not be an issue for me, but at 71 with some back pain starting, I just new this would not be a good fit for me as a long distance cruiser which is what I wanted it for.
