New software update version 014_012_021improves map connectivity.

FYI...I just received a new software update (version 014_012_021) and it allows the bike's controls to refocus the Connected app on on iPhone to resume map display. If you switch to another app or stop map mode on your phone, a message appears on the bike's TFT display. By selecting "OK" with the Wheel, the Connected app returns to the foreground and resumes map mode, displaying the map on the TFT screen. This enhancement improves the usability of the navigation system.

So far, it seems to improve the stability of the map display connection. Has anyone else received this update? What have you noticed with this update?

I'm glad to hear they are still updating the firmware for the CE 04. I'll be sure to ask about this update when I go in for my 12k maintenance - I'm hoping it offers the same improvement on Android.

The app connectivity is horrible on the ce04. BMW should be ashamed. Maybe wired plus CarPlay and Android Auto will be in future models. I gotta get this latest update, but the nearest dealer is 4hrs away.
