Throttle lock

How does this attach? Seems to pull out the bar end weight a bit...no issues with that bar end screw not being long enough after it is added? Now if they made it in a Blue color though black is ok I figure. Just seems mighty large

I have two of these on my BMWs. They came with the bar-end attached/integrated with the lock. Clever design that works well. The only drawbacks I find are: (1) to 'activate' the lock, I find I need to let off the gas so I can use that right hand to turn the lock, and (2) on hills it doesn't work as a cruise control as on ascent the bike will slow, unless you manually add throttle, and on descent the bike speeds up unless you trhottle down manually. Not surprising since all it does is keep throttle fixed, and as a second-best to an actual cruise control it does work, but something to think about before buying. If you live in The Netherlands or Florida, which are both mostly pancake-flat (sorry Limburg!), no worries.

So you would just unscrew the handlebar bar end weight cap put the new parts on and reuse the same screw that came on the bike to tighten it all up?
Thank you

Which direction do you rotate the throttle lock to engage it - keep throttle in desired position

TIA!

To lock, rotate down, similar to adding throttle, to unlock rotate back up, like rolling off the throttle. There's probably youtube videos on installing and operating Kaoko throttle locks. It doesn't take much movement in either direction.

Thank you for confirming!

I have considered the Kaoko but discouraged by the price for something I’ll use once in awhile.

Yes not very cheap, but I find I use mine on my weekly commute all the time. It's about 120 miles each way, mostly highway, so putting the lock on allows my right hand some rest. A few weeks ago I saw one of the motorcycle breakers here in the US offer on Ebay, for maybe $40, a whole set of hardware (bolts, nuts, screws) and a kaoko throttle lock was among the lot! Seems someone bought that though, can't find it now. (I bought such a lot for my two BMW bikes which includes an F800ST and it too included a used but perfectly fine Kaoko throttle lock for the ST. So now I have 2, one for each side
