Timing chain datas

Hello Everyone,
Some of you have datas to put in place the timing chain on my C400X?

After destroying piston and cylinder head, I have all new parts in hands, and try to rebuild the engine.

- There is no locker key between the camshaft and the timing chain pulley.
- Need help to lock in place the crankshaft, and make the timing with camshaft ....

Yes, fixed !
I found all datas, and drawing of the tool. C400X works again well now.

Hi , all information here :

1st : lock the crankshaft with a T40 ( through the hole after screw removed) to put it on good position. ( I remember T40 size, maybe it's with a bigger size )
2nd: put the BMW tool on the position shown on my drawing.
3rd: align the wheel line with the cylinder head edge, Thight the screw with stop break liquid.

On the FORUM, I can't joint the STL file, to print the tool in plastic with a 3D printer, this is what I made. Not enough strong to tight for sure, but enough to find the good position.

Hi, Yes I made the same metal key rework. The BMW plastic tool, 3D printed is just to put in place on the good position all elements. Enjoy

Your post was so relaxing bro, im so confused at the beggining with all of that special tools, but the mechanic team of Voge Greece was amazing, give me all the exact parts at rediculous prices(around 100€, instead of bmw that claims 4000 € damage or change motor 6000€) and explain to me exactly the same that your post with images. You are a pro mechanic for sure my friend thank you with my heart!!!
