Updated TMAX for 2017?

I'm impressed with the new Tmax but the one thing it's missing is a single sided swing arm. I really like that. My first bike with that feature was my previous GL1800 Goldwing. I don't think I ever want another bike without that. Being able to remove the rear wheel without disturbing the brake is great.
Looks like a similarly equipped Tmax would cost a bit more than a GT. It would be nice to have one to go with my GT but if I can only have one I've got the right one now. I'm satisfied with the GT. It will probably be my last bike if nothing goes wrong with it that can't be fixed or a wreck it.

Okay, NOW this sounds like SERIOUS competition for the BMW Scooters (assuming they bring it to the States). Heated grips and seat, more underseat storage AND Cruise Control!!!! BMW better step up their game!

It has a progressive linkage for the rear shock, like a Honda prolink, adjustable electric windscreen, and is even lighter than the previous model, now about 100 pounds LESS than a 650 GT.

I originally got into this maxi scooter category as a result of seeing a Tmax and thinking how much I liked the look and practicality. Problem was it didn't fit me nearly as well as the CGT. And I thought the C600 was a little tight for me also. But the other day I was at my BMW dealer and sat on a used C600 and it seemed to fit me better. Maybe the same would be true with the Tmax. Getting old and shrinking does have advantages after all.;)

Well, I just got back from looking at Yamaha's website. Although they do show 2017 models for most of their bikes and scooters, the TMAX page only shows specs for 2015 and 2016. Looks like Americans wanting a scooter with true cruise control are out of luck. Yamaha still seems to think they can get a BMW C650GT price for a scooter with a smaller engine, no ABS, and far less storage capacity. As I said earlier: They're not even TRYING to sell the TMAX.
