I have a C400X, looks like BMW has a tall screen option but that's only 2 inches taller, seems hardly worth it.

I've also seen the Givi option, that one looks almost too big/wide and weird shaped.

Any other options? I'm 6 feet tall and would probably like to add about 4-6 inches to the screen, I could always go with a clip on deflector, but would be nicer to just have a good taller screen.

I just installed the extended BMW windscreen and it’s significantly longer. I’d say nearly double. Makes a big difference in the cold wind. I’m 5”11 and now the wind just hits the top of my helmet. I got it revzilla for $170.

Add Laminar Lip to the OEM shield.

Check Givi out. So tall that I look through it not over it. I have decided to keep it that way as there is O helmet buffeting. First time in 74 years of riding I have not insisted in looking over. Plenty wide also. It was on the scooter when purchased. Probably lose a couple miles per gallon on the highway and that is just fine.

I love the Givi - its perfect for me, Im only 5'10, wind still catches the top of my helmet but scoot down a bit and totally clean airflow. The Givi also has lips to help with airflow over hand space area also, enough that with heated grips my goretex gloved hands were fine all winter (I commute every day). Thoroughly recommend Givi products - including screens.

I have the Givi one, it came on the used bike I got, but I'm 6' 3" and it's so much better than my previous bike. Keeping mine on for sure. I am still getting 75+ MPG.

Windscreens For Taller Riders

mzflorida tested 5 screens. I purchased the CalSci 15 from him. It is thinner than others and they make them in at least one taller size as well. I really like mine but am thinking about going with the taller one if I ever change. I cut mine so that the hand guards would fit easily and notice that I get a lot of air from that area of the shield now. The wider shields give better air protection when you need it.
