Hello all.

I'm new to the BMW family with my purchase in March of a 2020 c650 GT with just 7k miles on the ticker. I've been riding it and enjoying it very much, but the windshield for me leaves a bit to be desired. I'm 5'-13" and am long waisted. I sit like a 5'- 15" guy in the saddle.

I have an extender by Kemi-Moto for the top and it works, but at the height I need for buffeting, I have to look through it and it's not the clearest plastic. I really don't mind looking through an O.E.M. windshield, as they're usually quite good quality.

To my ?... I've done LOTS of searching here and find this and that, but some of the windshields that were discussed years ago, are now out of business etc. What I would like is a recurve windshield, but haven't seen any online. California Science is still listing a touring option for the c650 GT, but the listing says 2013+. I do remember reading here that one of the brands had too narrow of a hole pattern and the holes needed to be modified to get them to fit. Some even had to have spacer washers as the plastic was thinner than original.

Can anyone direct me towards a taller, maybe wider, windshield???

Thanks in advance!

Mine came with an Aeroflo windshield. I’m 6’5” and I’m very happy with it. I keep it just below my eyeballs and I get very good wind protection on the freeway while still being able to see over it. In the city, I keep it halfway down.

I would definitely recommend this one.

GSMetal, thanks for the pictures of your scoot... :)

I can't find anyplace to purchase an Aeroflo windshield. It's really what I'm looking for. I bought a "tall" recurve for my Honda Helix and love it. I also have a ClearView recurve on my Harley Road Glide, also works great.

It looks like I will only be able to get a taller straight windshield at this point, unless someone has a suggestion of where to locate one. I'm not opposed to ordering from the UK or Europe if necessary.

Also GSMetal, how do you like the Corbin seat. I've been looking at them for my GT. My wife has to slide up and over the rider's backrest and the stock seat is a bit "sticky". I have a Corbin on my Harley and love it. Although the Corbin for the GT is around $1k, it still may be worth it. Does yours have the heat element in it? If so, did you have issues with the electrical hook up?

Thanks to all for the replies!

Hi Dan,

The Corbin seat came with the bike. It has the heating element but it’s not hooked up and I doubt that I will hook it up since 1: I would have to run the wiring from the battery AND hook up a switch of some sort. And 2: because I just don’t ride in the cold. The seat is comfortable enough but I have a long inseam (34) and I wish the seat would give me another inch or two so I could move my butt back further.

It’s OK but I can’t tell you if it’s better than the stock since I’ve never ridden with the stock seat.
