Gas smell?

I have noticed lately that when I'm done riding and park the GT in the garage, I quickly can smell raw fuel around the bike. Has anyone had a leak or clogged part that could send me in the right direction?
 
Check your fuel cap. If not that, take the body work off and look for a leak, or loose hose. If it's vapor from the recovery system, you might not see any wet fuel.
Your vapor recovery system might need some work. Try filling the tank a little less then full.
 
To answer the OP's original question, yes, yes it does.

What you're smelling could be coming from the fuel tank vent. I believe it's vented through a charcoal filter as most are these days. When you park a hot bike it's not unusual for the gasoline to expand in the tank pushing out some air with gas odor. Shouldn't be any serious fume danger, it doesn't take much to cause a bit of odor around the bike. The other prevalent scent that usually comes from a bike parked in a garage after a run is the smell of hot rubber. Usually that comes from the tires but you might get a bit from the hot CVT belt.

Thanks. I have been wondering about the rubber and fuel smells and it looks like you got it figured.
 
My theory is that the engine heat is heating up the gas tank and causing fumes to be forced out the vent which are real noticeable in a closed space. I've found that if I place a fan so it's blowing air in the opening around the rear shock strut, angled forward towards the gas tank, it eliminates the odor.
