Wierd oil leak from Kickstand on my BMW c650GT

Hi guys,
Couple of days ago I noticed some oil drops on the bottom of the kickstand. The part that touches the ground. Everything else looks fine. There are no leaks when I park the bike. The kickstand arm is fine just the bottom triangle messes up the floor.
Has someone had any issues like this?
I suppose the kickstand is touching a part that leaks and just gets wet, but the weird thing is that everything looks clean, no drops under the bike.
Also I started having some missfires when the motorcycle is cold. The first 3-5 min. It is like choking. Almost dropped it when pulling out from 0.

Maybe the chain oil bath box has a leak? Check along the bottom seal.
 
Hey Ben,

Did you check your oil recently? If so, are you sure you got the dip stick perfectly back in place? If not, oil can end up in all kinds of weird places on the bike. Don't ask how I know.:rolleyes:

This thread is from 2017, but Bojan is still on here often; when you say you have the same issue did you mean the oil from the kickstand or the misfire when cold or both? The oil level check port is above the kickstand and could be a leak source, the oil filter pre-screen is in the area and both the dip stick and the oil screen use o-rings to seal, if the o-rings haven't been changed they could be an oil leak (more under pressure rather than at idle) but there should still be some evidence of the oil leak above the kickstand. If you were referring to the misfire when cold then we need more description of the issue. I purchased an O-ring assortment from Amazon (metric) and replace the o-rings on the pre screen and dipstick from this kit, I had some small leaks before and this seems to have cured it, I never have had any oil coming off the kickstand.
 
Yes old one:)
Never resolved that one. The kickstand was all covered in already dried oil. When I had it checked at the dealership they told me it’s normal and they couldn’t find any leak.
As for the misfires I had the chain tensioner replaced with hydraulic one and that solved the problem.

Yes the kickstand i try to figure out where it come I open the bike now and i think its from the swing arm oil its dry near oil filter.

THe dealership sound funny but i think it was correct I wll observed.
