Being vertically challenged, I am considering to have my seat re-upholstered to reduce the seat height.

Are there other alternatives out there liike replacing the rear shock absorber springs?

Your suggestions will be appreciated.

Which model do you have - X or GT?

There is a low seat option available to the C400X.

It drops the seat from 775mm to 760mm. I'm 5'4" with an inseam of 27-1/2" and I'm OK with the standard seat height of 775mm or 30-1/2".

Changing the rear shock height will affect the ride characteristics of the motorbike. Since your sitting near the horizontal center, you'll probably need to make a significant change.

Good luck and stay safe!

Hi Byee. I have a C400GT. Just took delivery of the scooter last Wednesday and am getting used to the seat height, but I did order the OEM
lowered seat which is coming in 4-5 weeks I am told.

Thanks for your feedback.

Hello, i bought a C400GT which is delivered next week. I am considering buying the lower OEM buddyseat but according to the dealer the difference is minimal and it might not be worth it. So what is your experience with the lower seat?

Cevidae, indeed the OEM lowered seat does very little to help. You probably do better by investing in a comfortable pair of elevator shoes; seriously.
That's what I had to end up doing.

Thank you for your response. I will have to look for motorbikeshoes anyway.
Eventhough the height of the bike is not that bad, its just a little bit higher then the Suzuki Burgman i used to drive. Tnx

The seat height is one of my peeves with the bike, but as long as I am wearing boots of some kind with a thicker sole, I can manage it. I thought about the lower seat, but you loose the heat. Corbin says they dont really lower the height with theirs much either. Those are the only two choices other than modifying the existing seat. Since I live in an area that is relatively flat, I can deal with the flatfooting issue for now.

Yep it is not like a Vespa when you can wear flip flops, shorts and T-Shirt to ride (as a kid when I was 15 here in Phoenix). Even without wearing boots, I do wear thicker soles ankle high Motorcycle Riding shoes (from amazon)
