Naked Pictures

Ok, so I admit that Dale's comment about coconut oil got me thinking, anybody got naked pictures...of their bike?

Hmmm, as I write this I admit that sounds like it is going in a weird direction, but we got a bunch of snow here in NE Ohio last night and I am feeling like in as much as I cannot ride for a few days now might be the time to take a closer look at what is under the hood of my GT....or maybe I should be more specific; my BMW C650GT (for all I know "GT" alone might mean something else in text talk).

How about some tips on removing the fairings? I am thinking about adding some lights to the cockpit. Any suggestions?
 
I have some of the sport, When I first got her I stripped her down to see where spare space was available.
For the sport at least, there are 3 screws per side fairing and 5 mounting pads (that had a recall on them)

I removed the screws and it seemed like nothing much budged. This is also true of the plastic attached to the handle bars.
I suppose I could pry and pull and twist but I'm an electronics technician and things in my world don't respond well to that type of thing so...
Does the shop manual provide specifics for getting each piece of plastic to come loose (without doing damage)?
If it does it might be worth the $???.?? it costs just to keep from harming my baby. And since I see there are fuses and a battery under the right side of the Sport, it seems imperative that a responsible operator learn how to remove the covers.
Plus I read somewhere that there is a power outlet hidden in the dash somewhere.
 
I've removed all of the lower plastics on the right hand side but, alas, didn't take pictures. It was pretty simple, however, if you do it in the right order. Start with removing the fuel filler door, then the plastic around the fuel area, and keep working down the bike. There are a few plastic tabs but they were pretty tough and I didn't break anything removing or replacing.
