Just had my alarm installed today and decided to test it out for myself. Here's a very sloppily done video (because I had to do double duty and hold the camera and do the demo). The guy I'm talking to in the middle was someone walking up about to step on my fob that I laid on the ground to put distance between it and the bike.

Anyway, just to show how loud it is and the flashing lights. Once this is installed, the fob buttons then work to arm and disarm the alarm.

Nice. That is indeed loud, I just picked up the MiniMoto 7 today. May order that alarm as well, I wonder how hard the install is.

Unfortunately, you probably won't be able to install it yourself as you would need both the device to hook into the bike's computer as well as the codes to activate the alarm feature on the TFT screen. It kind of pisses me off that I had to pay $450 for the alarm and another $250 to the BMW service tech to install it. That's $700 for something that should have been installed on the fully featured Avantgarde model BEFORE shipping it. We all know that installing something after-the-fact costs 3x what it would cost to install it upon original manufacture.

Good lord. I would need to ship mine to a dealer. There is one in range, but a risky ride as there is only one l2 charger somewhat along the route. MiniMoto will do for now.

Thanks for sharing the video of your great looking scooter and its new alarm system. The video allowed me to get a better view of its sleek and futuristic appearance. I’m sure it generates a lot of interest when you’re out and about.
