I went to my dealer today to see about putting in a new head light. They have done it before. But this time
they will ONLY use OEM parts on my 2016 C 650 GT. The high beam is out again 2 nd time that happened in 1 yr.
So probably IF you go to the dealer with parts for your C 650 GT or sport you will have to BUY the OEM parts
cuz the head service guy told me that they had to many problems with other bike parts not being the ones
they needed to do the work. I am not mechanically inclined to do ALL the servicing on my bike when it needs
the 12K service which will cost a arm n a leg from what you all have said.. That was at Wild West Motoplex
in Katy Tx.

Thet want the original parts for our bikes. I bought the variator belt for $100 bucks n
they said it will have to be a BMW OEM part. That's a $400.00 belt I do not IF they put
the OEM bulb that is a BMW light headlamp in it. But it only lasted 1 yr

I am going to have to look for another dealer. I think there is another 1 or 2 that are
BMW dealers? I will look it up on the net there is one is s. Houston close to 3rd ward.
i will do the search tonight cuz i need to get outside n do servicing on my lawn eq.

NEED A NEW LOW BEAM BULBE AFTER ABOUT 3 YRS NOT A DEALER BAUGHT
BULB EITHER. H& is that the right one. i did buy another brand that someone
on here mentioned n that solved the heat problem on the head light going
out sooner then a yr
 
I fitted a new variator belt to my C650Gt at 12,000 miles. I bought a Mitsuboshi belt for about £100 which was the same brand as the original that came off. It was very difficult to distinguish the old one from the new one, measurements with a digital caliper revealed very little difference. I would probably change the next one after 20000 miles.
 
Understanding how the halogen bulb is held in place is key to replacing bulbs without removing bodywork. It’s a car bulb, held in place by wire spring clips.
If you’re dexterous and patient it’s not a difficult job to reach up into the lamp housing area, release the old burned out bulb and replace it with the new one. Wearing latex gloves to avoid skin oil touching the bulb glass, refasten the new lamp with the spring clips holding firm, and push the connector on.
Looking at how the clips work on a car headlight, where you can see the action helps with doing it “blind”.
Once you get the hang it takes 10 minutes or less.
Some halogen bulbs last longer. Don’t buy from the dealer, the OEM isn’t from BMW, it’s more likely Phillips, or another electrical manufacturer. The new bulb isn’t warranted so no benefit.

I actually bought my last bulbs from my car mechanic. His garage services VW and Audi. I believe the bulbs were Osram from Europe. I paid about the same as mid grade from Walmart.
 
Getting tired of having to constantly replace my headlight bulb at quite high autoparts store prices, I ordered a pack of 10 long-life bulbs off Amazon 2 years ago for $50. Am still on the first of those 10.

YES i did get those a couple of yrs ago n had left them with my brother.
Then he had packed them up n he moved n he does NOT know where he put them so now i am going to buy them again cuz the last one was the low beam
went out n now the high beam. The bulbs have last 3yrs. Better then the OEM
brand from the dealers supplies. Amazon has those LONG-LASTING bulbs
