Purchased my CE 04 early last December and had my “Bobber Electric Scoot” (what I call mine) in climate controlled storage until yesterday. Going to the dealership is a 300+ mile round trip, so I hope it’s rare. Even made a deal with the dealership’s parts guy that has a cabin north of me and goes to it most weekends to help with tire changes as he offered to pick them up and drop them off because of my situation geographically. This parts guy goes above and beyond the call of duty in my opinion. Haven’t had a chance to really ride a CE 04 yet either as it was too snowy here in northeastern Minnesota when I bought it. Looking forward to my first real ride on my scoot as soon as the street sweepers clean the corners of all the sand that they laid down for all the snow we had this last winter season (nearly TWELVE FEET of snow!) And most importantly, fill in the massive potholes all over the city along with fixing some of the big frost heaves. In my 23+ years living here in Duluth I’ve never seen the roads so bad. Only riding I’ve done so far, is getting it off the bike trailer and putting it in the garage for better weather. Hopefully that won’t be too many weeks away!

If you need warranty service, call roadside assistance. If the only place that can work on the bike is 300 miles away (mine was over 200) they will pick it up and ship it there and back. Your ticket will need to get approval on the Urgently ( Roadside assistance) side but you wont come out of pocket for it. Now if you want the dealership to install cup holders, that's another story.

Thanks Rootctrl, I will keep this in mind if I have any problems. I live 150 miles from the dealership, so it’s 300 miles round-trip, so I hope that isn’t a problem with BMW. LOL on the cupholders!
