I have searched everywhere and still cannot find replacement motor mounts. As many others, the bushing on mine are sunken and it keeps vibrating under turns.

I ==> think <== that you're referring to what BMW calls "SET OF BUSHES."

I was taking a look at the parts fiche at https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/DiagramsMain.aspx?vid=60735&rnd=09082020 . A little bit down the page -- there's a scroll bar for the left column -- is the parts diagram for ENGINE HOUSING MOUNTING PARTS. Clicking on that left-column image shows this picture on the right side:

And the parts list underneath that looks like this:

I am assuming -- okay, sort of guessing -- that the parts you're talking about is item 12, i.e., part # 11 11 8 405 046, for $56.12.

If I'm wrong about this, that it's not what you're looking for, then, um, sorry.

By the way, you'll note that the page is labeled as applying to "C400X (K09) Production: 04/18-01/20 USA." I don't know what model year your C 400 X is (you don't mention that in your profile), nor do I know whether BMW has changed this part for other model years (my guess is that it hasn't changed), but I thought I'd point this out, for completeness.

Good luck with your search.

Thanks for the reply and correction. I accidentally posted in the wrong forum.

Below is what I am looking for. It could be a different part number for my 2019 model, but I just cannot even find one new. I was under impression from all the problems, that a new redesigned version was made.

Ah, that picture helps:

That appears to be a part BMW calls HOLDER WITH RUBBER MOUNTING.

It's present on that same parts fiche page, https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/DiagramsMain.aspx?vid=60735&rnd=09082020 , but just to keep everybody on their toes it's in a diagram called AUXILIARY SWING ARM, which is about halfway down the left column:

It appears to be item 01 on that page, with two different part numbers (which goes along with your impression that it was redesigned).

Is one of those the motor mount that you're looking for?

I believe it is, The only question is why i just cannot find it online. IS this something I absolutely have to go to the dealer for?

My guess is that that part is rare enough that it's not used on a lot of bikes, that there's no aftermarket version, that there's hardly any demand for it, and so no one but BMW would have it made and that only a Beemer dealer would be able to order it. Much like, say, some bodywork panel for your 400 X or my 400 GT.

Note that Max BMW will certainly ship that part to you, if you order it on their web site. I've done that with a few odds and ends (nothing really big or expensive), even though one of Max's four stores is about half an hour from me (where I bought the scooter, actually). Some other large BMW shops will also do that, too, but I don't know whether they all charge the same price.

My GT went in for its annual service. I've done the full 6000 miles so it was due. Bike now has about 9000 miles on the clock. It is five years old so most of the miles have been done by me in the last year. Anyway, it needs new engine bushes and new rear shocks! Dealer got the parts in very quickly but is having trouble finding workshop time for fitting them so I have bought a Honda as a back up machine! The bike is being fixed under warranty which I think is amazing.

1) I'm puzzled, regarding the bike's being fixed "under warranty." I thought the coverage was 36,000 miles or three years, whichever comes first. Was the warranty for this scoot longer back then, or do you have an extended warranty, or is this a case of dealer "good will," or did you point out those problems earlier to the dealer, or what? That is, care to elaborate on this?

2) I'm disappointed, regarding the mounts (correct?) and the shocks wearing out at such low mileage. Any thoughts on why that happened so soon. I mean, the shocks are nothing to write home about anyway, but I would expect them to last longer than that.

3) Of course, I'm a fine one to talk. Perhaps you've read about BMW's replacing my '22 C 400 GT with a '23 last year (https://www.bmw-scooters.com/index....brand-new-23-c-400-gt-free-part-i-of-ii.2932/), the result of an engine failure?

While I was without that '22 for about five months (about four months in the local dealership's shop) I bought a new '23 Royal Enfield Meteor 350. It certainly doesn't have the exquisite handling of the GT, nor its speed, but it is a remarkably fun back-road bike. In fact, just last week I ordered a BeadRider seat set for it, because I find that I am increasingly choosing the Meteor for my goofing-off day trips, and that those trips are becoming longer and longer. What Honda did you get?

I bought the scooter from a dealer last year as a BMW approved machine. This gives me a two year full warranty and two years full breakdown cover. My theory is that the bike sat around too long and parts dried out / became brittle or what ever then I bought it and proceeded to ride it pretty hard for the whole year - motorways, rough old back roads, the Scottish Highlands, you name it and this finished off those parts. I'm no mechanic though. Maybe it was just a dud bike? anyway I still love it and will use it for all my touring and will probably get another in a couple of years time. I have bought an ADV 350. It is pretty damn good for the rough old roads here in East Anglia and should keep up with the advanced riders on their Sunday rides- those big GSs and Africa twins are not so nimble down what passes for a road round here. It is nowhere near as comfy as my flying sofa though.

Ah, makes sense now. Thanks for the explanations.

Across the pond here, Honda doesn't sell any scooters larger than the PCX or ADV160; we have a very limited selection from all manufacturers, in terms of scooters. I've read good things about the ADV 350 -- I'm sure you'll have fun on it.

BTW, the C 400 GT is an absolutely great machine for the twisties, IMO: peppy engine, and absolutely superb handling. If you take a look at the last half-dozen or so videos in my GT gallery -- https://billanddot.com/C400GT/ -- you can see that I have tons of fun on it. Those were from a trip I took a month ago -- about 2,000 miles, round trip -- to visit my daughter and ride some of the best twisties in the eastern USA. It would have taken me too long with the Meteor 350 -- I wouldn't have been able to use the main highways -- so the GT is my main touring bike.
