Hello all from Hawaii!! Just finished all the major work on the 2013 GT and I can't get the Wind Screen moving. I saw a nice post earlier resolving this issue after changing the battery, but I can't find it!! Please send me a link if you know where it is.

Thanks 🙏🙏🙏

I'm on my second C 400 GT, so I don't have any experience with movable windscreens (except on two Suzuki Burgman 650 Exec models that I once owned, but that doesn't count here).

In the meantime -- before you get responses from some C600/C650 owners, you might want to spend some time reading through these threads (all of which I think are relevant to your question):

- 2015: https://www.bmw-scooters.com/index.php?threads/c650-gt-windscreen-adjustment-problem.939/

- 2016: https://www.bmw-scooters.com/index.php?threads/windshield-wont-move.1469/

- 2020: https://www.bmw-scooters.com/index....erating-problem-after-battery-gone-flat.2048/

- 2022: https://www.bmw-scooters.com/index.php?threads/gs911-windscreen-activation.2425/

Good luck.

When you change your battery the windscreen can lose it's place, doesn't know where it is and won't move. When I purchased my 2013 the screen wouldn't move, I bought a GS-911 and was able to re-set the windscreen with that, I haven't used any of the other scan tools for these scooters, but I believe there are other scan tools that will re-set the screen, help the bike learn new TPMS sensors, and re-set maintenance intervals.

[To save any interested English-speaking 650 GT owners the trouble, here is Google's translation of the post above;]

Sorry for not writing in English, I am Spanish and I have to resort to Google translation. The problem with the elevation motor comes when we want to raise the screen at a speed higher than it should (maximum 100km/h) or it receives a strong headwind while raising the screen. At that moment the motor needs more effort and more electrical consumption, the system detects it and blocks it to protect it from overloads. The diagnosis does not reflect that problem and therefore does not offer a reset option.
