Great Pictures of "HOW TO" for changing variator, from Spanish BMW Forum..

Really is. very similar to the procedures for doing the variator in a Majesty, Tmax or Silverwing. I've done all those and it was very easy.

Thanks. I joined the forum. It looks pretty easy. Is that clutch holder tool readily available? I changed the rollers on my Vespa and it was fairly easy for a non-mechanically inclined noob such as myself. I was going to switch out to some Dr. Pulleys, but wasn't sure if I'd be able to install them myself. This looks doable.

I have not seen the picture you are speaking of but if it is the one to remove the belt. One end holds the nut and the other holds the pully. The part number is 83302297988 and the price is $36.91 (so i have been told by the dealer)
