ECU (remapping) C600

If I recall correctly, this question came up before but there were no clear answers. As in, does any company actually offer it. For my K1600, a company called Brentune does offer it, I believe it costs around $800 and if the bike goes in for service at BMW, a software update can erase the tune and you have to pay a (smaller) fee to Brentune to have them redo the mapping. Plus it may impact any remaining warranty. Despite these drawbacks many owners have it done, judging from the many positive comments in the K1600 forums, with people saying it improves the throttle response and other, less clear, benefits. To me, the throttle response needs absolutely no improvement, if I want to go 0-60 in 3 seconds the factory BMW tune will deliver that for me so I don't really see a need to try and improve on that.
Which brings me to my final comment: the C650 I have runs just about perfectly and I see 0 need to try and improve it further, for example through tinkering with the factory ECU settings, different clutch or rollers, etc. But to each their own, I hope others can chime in with more useful information on your question.

thank you for sharing your experiences

I heard of a company in France that sells the firmware (program) for 60EUR but you would need skills and hardware to put it on. And balls, in case things go wrong. I have a local specialist who I could go to and pay A$900 to do that - in Moorabin, Victoria but where are you?
And sure, there is margin, you will pay for more fuel and encounter more wear.
The much easier and "better" ways to improve performance are (in order of gain/price ratio):
- K&N air filter
- 42g (slightly more agro) or 43g (like stock but faster) Dr.Pulley's Sliding Rollers (SR)
- a more open exhaust (I recommend Malossi Wild Lion)
You also get better handling with the last item.
I would go for EFI tune only if I am OK with premature engine / transmission wear e.g. not even hoping to make it to 100KKm, or if I am about to race where the winner takes the loser's bike.
What case are you?

Oops, 42-43g is for 2016+ variators - if you still have C600 then it has lighter rollers and inferior transmission. (33g?)
--> Buy the Dr.Pulley variator, get two sets of rollers with it like I suggested.
