White Powder and a nasty surprise - What is the name of the part above that is leaking ?

I saw some white powder on the left hand "gearbox cover" got a nasty surprise when I took a panel off to take a look - I think it's the top part that is leaking some sort of acid I suspect to the larger part below. I've marked it with an arrow.

Does anyone know what the name of the part that's leaking is please ?

2022 model with only 1000 miles on it so I'm surprised that things have gone so wrong so quickly. It should be covered by BMW UK used bike warranty and I've only had it a few months but I want to be armed with the knowledge before I take it in. It looks a mess in there and the acid has corroded the larger metal item (?) below, a look at the parts fiche didn't really help as there was no overview.

Hi, Sad to see those pictures. From the location, it looks like some leak in the charger refrigeration liquid. Does it have the option of fast charging? (7kW charging capability?)

Thanks for your response , I wondered what would be wet up there. Yes it has the fast charging option.

I would try to solve that leak as soon as possible because I think the same refrigeration goes through the motor and charger (closed loop). So, specifically if you live in hot climates area, don't ride until you fix that, otherwise the electric motor / charger may overheat and then cause serious damage. If it is just the leak, that can be easily fixed.

Well it got taken by BMW roadside assistance to my nearest level 2 BMW technician 60 miles away who sent photos to the only UK Level 4 technician in Park Lane, London who said put cones around it and don't touch it.

Its now being sent to Park Lane, which if you know your Monopoly board, won't be cheap for someone. Thankfully I'm covered by the 2 year used warranty as I'd only owned it for 2 months but I'm not sure I like the idea of owning a bike that can only fixed in such a prestigious location.

The bike has finally been fixed by bmw, apparently the ce04 charging management unit or iLM has been replaced. Not sure what's in that unit to cause it to leak some sort of acid but when I get more info I'll update here.
