2020 C650GT cranks vigorously but no ignition

My bike no longer starts. It was fine until this week. I turn the key and get the usual display. I retract the kickstand and pull in both brake levers. I press the starter and the bike cranks as usual but there is no hint of ignition. There is plenty of gas in the tank. I examined the fuse diagram in the manual, and there does not appear to be a fuse that would cause this symptom. Has anyone else ever seen this problem?

Not to insult you, but I am asking for people who have observed the same problem on the same model bike. Start and kill are opposite positions on the same switch. If the starter is cranking the switch cannot be in the kill position.

Ah, sorry, I should’ve checked that out (no insult taken).
 
Not had or heard of this issue. If it were my bike I would connect my motoscan app and look for fault codes. Perhaps one of the switches, likely the sidestand one, has failed or the fuel pump died. Do you hear the typical 'whirring/buzz' when you first turn the ignition key on?

If the sidestand or brake lever switches failed, the starter motor would not crank. When I first turn on the ignition, it makes the usual whirr-buzz for a second. Nonetheless, dead fuel pump is not a bad theory.
When can you come to New Jersey and connect your motoscan? The BMW shop has me scheduled for April 23, which is a long time to be without the bike.

I had the same problem last week and second time in 2 years. Started after winter storage. Pushed it out. Would not start while cranking. The reason is the fuel (ethanol?) plugs the filter. It is slime like snot, but totally colorless, difficult to see. This is what I did: I used shop vac top part as a blower. Opened fuel cap and blew air in. Don't deal the vac nozzle because you don't want to ruin it. While I was blowing air in I was cranking. I could hear a fainted sign of life. Stopped and started cranking several times and Yahoo. It is working. It cost me $700 the first time to "tow" it to a shop (250 km away). I fly and use the same fuel in my ultralight. I found this slime on my fuel filter. This is how I know it. Tray it. Good luck
