Hello all, I’m new to this forum. As a short intro, I’ve been riding litre size touring bikes for nearly 60 years now.
Due to back injuries I can’t ride on the balls of my feet anymore and think a scooter may extend my riding.
I just bought a 2015 C650GT with 18k kms. While riding it home yesterday, the fairing side panel (rt side covering the battery) flew off the bike in heavy hi-way traffic. I had to ride another mile or 2 before turning around and ride another 2 miles back etc, etc. Bottom line,,, I couldn’t find it and even if I did it I suspect it would’ve been mangled beyond salvage.
No problem, I’ll buy one,,, or so I thought. That fairing side panel is obsolete. WTF!!!
So if anyone has a spare or one lying around or might know where one might be please, please be in touch. Thank you.

Your best bet may be places like Ebay. Try checking with motorcycle dismantlers who advertise there. My left side panel got slightly damaged a few years ago and for a while I looked on Ebay but none showed up and now I just live with it. They are rare.

Well, your entire scooter could be considered obsolete. I mean, BMW doesn't make the 600/650 scooters anymore.

However, if my research is correct, e.g., https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/DiagramsMain.aspx?vid=54688&rnd=10232024 , that looks like part # 46637725054:

CleanShot 2026-10-30 at 12.03.37 PM@2x.webp

A quick search reveals many listings in the USA for c. USD 215, + shipping.

Also, I found an eBay listing for a lot lower, but then the shipping charge is very high: https://www.ebay.com/itm/193662074469

There's also a outfit in Denmark that seems to have a good price, but unknown shipping cost: https://www.schmiedmann.com/en/product/e5807546-new?product=46-63-7-725-054

So it looks to me as if the part can be obtained at a lot of places, but you know better than I do about the various aspects of shipping products to Canada. Have you checked with a local BMW Motorrad dealership, to see if they can order it for you -- perhaps saving shipping charges -- and how much it will cost?

By the way, it looks like it might be a black or gray piece of plastic, and if it's some other color on your 650 you would have to have it painted. This is what BMW does with a lot of its bodywork parts, i.e., offers them only in a base plastic, and if you want it to match whatever color it was on your scoot you'd have to get it painted. Suzuki, on the other hand -- I owned two Burgman 650s over the years, in addition to C 400 GTs -- has its bodywork parts listed in each color for the corresponding years, so you could order them already painted. Just a part of life with a Beemer, I guess.

Good luck in your quest.

I was able to order left side panel from my dealer, SoSo Cycles in Concord, CA last fall. The panel came in one day from the BMW warehouse in Stockton, CA. No mess no fuss. I had it painted by the local auto painter and it looks outstanding.
