Hello from Calgary. I'm new to this forum, having just purchased a virtually new (273 kms) C650GT about a month ago. I've been a fan of maxi-scooters for the past 10 years when I purchased my first, a 2005 Honda Silverwing. After those 10 years of service, I decided it was time to move on. As a longtime BMW owner it seemed appropriate to own a BMW scooter. I'm looking forward reading and participating in the discussions.

Being inseam deficient, my BMW choices were limited. I've owned 2 F650GS singles (one was replaced by the other following a deer strike), an F650GS twin and a mid-1990's R1100RT. The onset of arthritis dictated the move to the Silverwing as it provided much greater flexibility for my knees. I also own a 2011 Honda CBF1000F which I enjoy on shorter rides.
