I worked on my scooter today and replaced the belt and installed my Dr. Pulley rolls and sliders.
As for the belt when I compared the old to the new, the wear was about .050 of an inch or about 1.25mm off the sides that are used (half on each side). The scooter has 25,000km or about 15,000 miles the new belt I put in I am going to run it for 30,000km and then do a comparison.
After all my work I had no spare parts (that's a good thing) but it is raining so I don't want to go out and test it all. Just starting it in my garage it sounds good and the clutch does engage quickly
If you closely look at the picture attached you can see a flat spot on the edge of the belt, I think that this is a wear indicator. When this disappears it is time to change the belt.
