Hum, the CE04 has a somewhat limited range. If doing a long round trip that the bike can do if charged to say 90 or 100% then I fill her up to 90 or 100%.
Regarding slow charging with a cord that came on the bike. I instead prefer 30A charging at the Level 2 charger. Although probably shooting myself in the foot with that thought. As I have a free charger at the bank that is only a ten-minute walk away I have taken it there for a full charge if down to 20% or below Even use their free charger at their other bank locations if on the road and fill I need more fuel.
Presently don't ride it on the highway roads much and prefer secondary roads since not as fast and somewhat enjoyable (though it is city riding so nothing to look at really). On a side note, Dynamic mode is a bit worrying in that I can get going too fast so quickly that I sort of stay away from that mode now and then.
When all is said and done will know down the road X number of years from now if I did much harm to the battery vs
slow and steady charging at home using a normal electrical outlet. Will need to see if the CE04 is like an iPhone and offers a battery health meter rating.
I should maybe mix it up and do at-home slow charging most of the time. Just hard to want to take a pass on free Level 2 30A charging since it is so close and gives me twenty minutes of walking exercise time to boot. Maybe I need to change my ways
Guess I can mix it up and do the 'charge me' aka it cost me $ to charge option at home if down to say 20 or 30ish%. That way if the mood strikes me and I want to go somewhere I don't have to worry if she has a full tank of gas.
Too bad, I infer, we cannot have it auto-stop after it charges to say 80%.
