Has anyone had the bike cut off

13000 + miles had the first stall. Ran 2 tanks of fresh gas, it only got worse. In the shop we go and one week later found it had not had all the software upgrades done. I said I was not paying for something that should be a BMW fix. As it worked out I paid 1/2 hour labor for t/s. No more stall...

i cant get my c650 gt to start!!!

If your switches are all in the correct position, lift the seat take the cover off the fuel pump and check that it is making crack pressure for the injectors (check to see if the pump is running). If the engine does not turn over you have other problems. Make sure your E-10 gas has not turned to...

    CAM Chain Tensioner...AGAIN

My 12 GT makes the same sound when cold. A few months back the 12,000 was done and clutch dust blown out and no noise. Now the noise is slowly coming back with each cold start. Like Jamie stated it could be cold belts that have set into a position and have to warm-up. I just go on easy at first...

    TPMS inaccurate.

Not sure I would air past never exceed pressure which on the feel free is 41 and 42 actual pressure for temp and altitude at a given location.

    Lithium ion battery

That is what I figured. I have had my battery on a tender sense new, only change moving to hotter climate.

    Lithium ion battery

Recently replaced my AMG with an AMG. The guy at Battery Plus asked what it came out of then said BMW bike usually only last a year. Possibly in this warmer weather the original may only last a year. That was the original battery, has anyone had problems with batteries?

    Lithium ion battery

Lithium Iron I would not do. Just look at the problems in the aircraft industry. UPS flight 6 burned up in flight, all the 787 aircraft that have had battery fires have been Lithium batteries in confined places such as our battery locations.

    TPMS inaccurate.

To prevent the Feel Free Tire from cupping (as Much), I set my tires to 37 and 40. The TPMS will indicate 34 and 35. The TPMS must be calibrated to a standard day of 59 degrees and 29.92, everything is reading what it would be on a standard day. Living in southeastern Arizona at 100+ 40 PSI...

    BMW oil

The oil is OK to mix in any form. The old is a SJ the new is a SM which exceeds the spec for SJ. BMW and Castrol had a parting of the contract to mfg BMW oils and now you are getting oil mfg by Shell, all are made to BMW specifications so nothing has changed. My 2012 says use 15W-50. I have...

Has anyone used Amsoil 100% synthetic motor oil?

I have used Amsoil Motorcycle 10W40 from the 600 mile oil change to present without any problem. I do not know where the seal myth got started but I hope people will start to understand synthetic oil will not harm seals or start leaks. If the seal is damaged it will start leaking because...

    Oil check doesn't work

Agree with Yellasei, I only check it once every few months to see if it still works. Kind of like the Bergy electric shift I would just check it never used it. I use the manual method, do not trust the tire pressure monitor nor the oil indicator. It would be fine if it would read oil level and...

    Battery tender

I use a tender all the time my bike is inside. Got the pigtail and wired directly to the battery, receptacle comes out above right front panel aft of mirror. This bypasses the can-bus system and goes direct to the battery. The electrical schematic appears to indicate the 12V outlet is wired...

    sad to say goodby

Good luck with the Honda, hope you find what you are looking for. If I were to look for a different bike today it would have to be a DCT or some type of auto shift. In this day and age who wants to shift gears. I would like a Yamaha 750 or 900 but they don't make an auto clutch version, that...

    Riding C650GT Coast to Coast

Would not think twice about hoping on my GT and going cross country. Have any scheduled maintenance done and good tires. Only problem could be a flat tire or bad gas. Mechanically this bike should not brake down once you start it up to go.

    Took delivery of my 650gt

The idle knock may just be the fuel injectors solenoid firing, above 2,000 RPM no more knock. SteveADV has got the helmet install down, at times you may have to move it around a little but it should fit.

    Rear Drive Oil Change Interval

Chain stretch is a given it is going to happen. Submerged in a oil bath should eliminate nearly all wear of the chain and sprocket. That is why I do not understand the hard time of 12,000 miles. Some service people are inspecting as they should rather than hard time replacing the chain. Each...

    Rear Drive Oil Change Interval

Thanks Yellasei now I know it is around 25,000 miles.

    Rear Drive Oil Change Interval

Yellasei, look up task 23 00 510 Gearbox-oil Change. This calls for 250 ml of SAF-XO.
