Loose lock cylinder
I had the same thing happen on my 2016 C650 GT. I believe it is a known issue, probably due to the multi function movement of ignition, steering lock, fuel cap and seat release. Wear allows the barrel to come out. I solved it by replacing the complete unit. It's an easy job but the parts are...- Cliff

Installing BMW GPS Mounting Bracket Hardware and BMW Navigator VI/Cradle on 2016 and later C650GT
I Pick up a 2016 C650 GT on Wednesday and plan to install the Garmin 660 Sat Nav from my old bike. I will need to remove that central steering bar cover to find the switched power supply.
