Not surprising given the standard of service I got from Vancouver BMW, currently the only reason I wont buy the Multistrada or another BMW.

I think the Combi switches are probably a service bulletin as opposed to a recall just like the clutch was.

At some point I would trade the GT in and the Multistrada would be at the top of my list it is some machine :)

Took my GT in for the brake line and combi switches recall but they did not get it done on time so the loons gave me this for the afternoon, it shall be my next bike ;)

I've done a few all day rides on the GT and after a few hours I see all the other guys twitching and bending around cause of fatigue and then there's me just cruising along :D It has great ergonomics and better fuel range than most, excellent bike for the long haul provided you wear ear plugs.

We also have a GTS300 Vespa and it is a great scooter for city but useless on the highway imo, way too skittish for higher speeds and rough road. Having said that the BMW is a heavy bike to push around the garage but is more like a motorcycle once you are mobile.

Went for a group ride with a few people all riding normal bikes :D Seems everywhere we stopped someone would come over and ask who owns the BMW and then go on to ask a bunch of questions about the big scoot :p not sure it went down well with the others though ;)

Kappa 49 arrived today. Quality seems ok and the fit to the monokey rack is tight, for my purpose its fine and quite a bit cheaper than the Givi. Clears the seat by about an inch or so. It also has a good bear count.

Ya I was worried it would look stuck on like some of the cheaper racks but I think it blends in ok, I ordered the Kappa K49 I'll post up when it comes in probably Monday.

Installed my new Givi rack today, pretty easy and it is nicely finished. Just waiting for the case.

I am the same height and found the GT a much better fit, the bars are a little higher and feels less cramped.

I think you would need to correct the resistance otherwise the fault code will stay on.

My guess is thats a dealer only OEM part.
