The "frunk" (fake tank) on the Honda holds a full face (my Neotech) helmet so not quite as much as the BMW but I have done several CostCo runs with that and panniers. Zero is an interesting bike but very little in dealerships here in Canada.

That's strange as I had a friendly argument with BMW Toronto mechanic who with scoot on ramp applied brake and rear wheel stopped. I was saying it was not linked - he assured me it was.

I was starting to lean this way as the Neotech is quite well ventilated and I think the modular will keep me better protected from effect of sun - here's hoping I don't get too much other than that on the way!

Lol - I have thought of driving from LV to Santa Monica by desert so I can dip my feet in the ocean and claim I touched the western end of R66. I intend to stop off in Chicago and do parts of R66 in between. Anyway if I find my timing is on target I will contact you and perhaps meet up.

I want to see a few things on the way/way back and that's why I am riding all the way. And I just have to stand on the corner in Winslow Arizona, such a fine sight.......:cool:

Any thoughts or recommendations on this trip which I am going to take in a few weeks? While I realize most will not have done a trip in this direction from Toronto, I am sure some will have from northern states. In particular I am interested in roads used and hotel/motel/ recommendations.
