    Battery Replacement without Breaking Windscreen

Just to be safe, make sure the screen is either all the way down or up when the battery is disconnected. I don't know how the computer is programmed, but maybe it could have a problem if the screen is at an in-between position and won't move because it doesn't know where it is.

    Battery Replacement without Breaking Windscreen

I didn't replace my battery but I did disconnect it when I was installing the power for my GPS and didn't have any problems with the windscreen afterward.

    TPM Did its work!

I've been repairing flat tires for over 50 years on both cars and motorcycles and have only had one instance where the patch would not work. That was the one I described earlier with a piece of a dime which caused a slit rather than a hole. I've used all types of patches and love the STOP AND GO...

    TPM Did its work!

The TPM was one of the things that made me pick the C650 instead of the Burgman I was considering (that and the fact that it was a new left over 2015 for $3000 less than the 2016). I'm getting too old to crawl on the floor to check tire pressures. I have had many flats on my other bikes that I...

    Dropped my 650GT today.

If your going to drop it, just hope you are on a flat surface or slightly uphill. Mine went down on a slightly downhill angle and the bike rolled all the way over, snapping off the mirror and leaving some slight dings in the top panel. I had a hard time finding touchup paint for the Quartz Blue...

My dealer (Montgomery Cycle in Montgomeryville, PA} has recently opened an entire section of their showroom just for BMW. They seem to be selling pretty good.

    Dropped my 650GT today.

When I dropped the bike, the left mirror snapped off. Purchased a replacement ($400) and decided to replace it myself. The service manual made it sound easy. Just remove the left top panel (piece of cake) and remove the two screws holding the mirror. One screw was easy (if you have a small...

    Dropped my 650GT today.

That's the way I have picked up my other bikes but the rear passenger handles are so far back it's hard to get any leverage while trying to grab the handlebar and passenger handle. I had to call my son to help me get it up. Thank goodness I was in my driveway and not out on the road. I was...

    Dropped my 650GT today.

I dropped my 650GT in my driveway today. Does anyone know an easy way to lift this sucker back on its feet. I have no problem lifting my Goldwing but it seems there is nowhere to grab this thing. Any help would be appreciated.

New owner from the Philadelphia area

Just picked up my BMW650GT today to replace one of my other bikes (Honda CTX750D) which was totaled in an accident. Broke my ankle in the accident and just got the cast of yesterday. My other bike is a 2008 Honda Goldwing. I am also a previous owner of a 2005 Suzuki Burgman 650. I hope the BMW...
