I2019 BMW C650 GT in Ocean Blue Matt finish. It has been garage kept since I bought it and currently has 5326 miles which may go up as I still ride it. Never been dropped, no scratches. Comes with the upgrade package that includes heated seat and grips. Has the power windscreen. I upgraded to the VStream windscreen and added a Shad box with their custom mount on the back. Wired in power for a GPS (GPS not included). Tons of storage under the seat and in the box.

I'm getting older and also downsizing from two bikes to free up some garage space for other stuff. I've really enjoyed riding this bike but I'm ready to pass this one along.

Looking for 8,500 and it's yours.

No test rides without cash in hand. Sorry, but I'm not taking the chance that somebody will drop the bike. Clean VA title. Located in Portsmouth VA.

Cycle Trader link in the original post seems to be dead. Here is the link today:

I bought the twin of this bike last year in Charleston, South Carolina and rode it home to South Florida. Sold it this summer in advance of a month long, Fly 'n Ride trip to New York State. I miss the bike dearly. Great machine and the matte finish always looks clean.

Popping back up for air. Bike is still here, I figured it would not be worth the trouble to try and sell it over the winter, but I still have it and would like to move it along. A few rides over the last few months to keep everything moving but not many more miles. I'd like the room back in the garage for bikes and woodworking. Once it sells I'll be looking for a Miata, but that will have to live outside. I'll take it for an inspection this week. Looking for 7500 or thereabouts.

Big Bob,

For current or future reference, Florida is a good market year-round. Facebook Marketplace ads are free and you could post down here noting the bike is in Virginia and would need to be shipped. I've bought and sold a dozen maxi-scooters in the last half dozen years on Facebook. It works.

Your price is attractive. I was poking around here and Craigslist looking for your bike a few weeks ago. I had decided to buy another C 650 GT. Ended up buying a 2019 with BMW top case for $7,250. Never even looked for it; guy walked up to me to ask about my Burgman 400 and turns out he was thinking about giving up riding and had a GT in his garage with 1,192 miles on it ....

Good luck on your sale. Miata sounds fun. I've been musing about a classic VW Beetle lately. Lots of interesting ones available in Florida. The deal breaker has been air conditioning. Some models have it and you can't own a car without it down here.

Thanks Mike. I was planning on listing it on FB, I just got an account so I can peruse marketplace rather than using my wife's login. I think its more of a crazy shit show than CL, but whatever it takes to move it along.

"I think its more of a crazy shit show than CL"

So true. You'll see scams. First inquiry, without a single question about the bike: "Give me your phone number and I'll Zelle you the money now and my cousin will pick it up. I'm overseas in the military."

Uh, no thanks.

The positive of Facebook is a high amount of traffic. Lots of wanna-be's and window shoppers but I always drew serious prospects, and all it takes is one.

I liked craigslist but they died off when they started charging for ads. Same with CycleTrader, although I found CT still gets the most serious prospects. Their audience is looking for specific bikes and they have the wherewithal to ship them or come and get them.

I listed the bike a few days ago on FBMP and had a guy contact me this last week from Connecticut. He drove down yesterday and came this morning and picked it up. Got the 7500 asking for it. Very nice guy, came down with his dad riding shotgun. I wish him luck with it and best of luck to everybody here, especially you Mike.

Quick question on behalf of the new owner. He needs the location of the physical vin number on the bike. He says he saw something that it is buried under the tupperware. Where do they put the VIN tag on these bikes, hopefully not too hidden.. TIA

It's in the front wheel well, left side as you're in front of the bike, behind a rubber hose.

Congrats on the sale! Let us know if you find that primo Miata!

I think he found it, but I'll pass it along. Been looking for a Miata or something with a soft top I can tow behind the camper. Fingers crossed I find my unicorn.

Good for you! Glad to see that. Geez, maybe I'll pursue that '72 VW Beetle more earnestly. Dreams can come true.
