Head light question.

I'm not sure my headlight switch is working properly. On most motorcycles I've owned the headlight will come on, in either hi or low beam when you turn the ignition switch on. The light would go out when you hit the starter switch then come back on upon engine start.

On my scooter if the low beam is selected before turning on the ignition switch neither headlight will come on. If the high beam was selected before turning on the ignition it will come on with the ignition.

So how does your GT work? If you have the low beam selected before turning on the ignition, then turn the ignition on with the key does the headlight come on?

Normally I'd take this to my dealer but with the "do not ride" notice in force at dealers I'd get my bike stuck there until the service recall is done.

My low beam comes on as well. What is the "do not ride" notice all about?

One more question on the headlight. Does the headlight come on in low beam when you first turn the ignition on before hitting the start button? It seems to work differently whether the switch is set for 'high' or low' beam when I first turn the key on.

I just checked mine and that's exactly what it does.
