Newbie idiot question - C600 Sport Alarm

My second hand purchase did not come with an alarm fob, does this mean it does not have an alarm ?

I know its probably the obvious answer, but I am just going through the manual and working out what options etc mine has.

If there is no alarm, does it have an immobiliser ?

I ask as this confused me in the manual, making it look like it can have an alarm without a remote, or does it ??

There may be a chip in the ignition key, not sure about that though.

Should be a chip in the key. 2013 C650GT has a chip. I know because I get the "EWS!" error on the screen if I have my R1200GS key on the same keyring as the C650GT key. R1200GS also has a chip in the key and that causes interference. I have to put the keys on different keyrings. You wouldn't know that there's a chip by looking at the key as it looks like any other key. No extra bulk.
