Plastic rattle above headlight

Was in some bumpy gravel yesterday. The plastic piece above the headlight rattled a lot! I then noticed it has a bit of play (not snug-fitting). Does the same happen to everyone, or might it have come loose for me?
Thanks

Do you mean the front-fairing panel one slides down to adjust the headlight angle?

If so, mine panel did come a bit loose once, but I suspect I may not have put it back on properly when I removed it to reset the service warning. Otherwise, in 3600 miles of riding, including gravel, it hasn't been an issue.

Hello I do sometimes have plastic rattle noises coming from difference places but they go away, and for me living in Montreal with our beautiful street we got used to it...

When this has happened to me on previous BMW bikes, I often find a loose body panel screw that needs tightening. If it keeps getting loose, I apply loctite. I've also been known to use foam tape or duct tape on occasion between surfaces that rub up against each other.

I’ve dug in the front and the parts are just plain “loose-ish”. Couldn’t find any tightening opportunities. Thankfully roads around me are pretty smooth; but makes me wonder about longevity issues….. oh well….

I've read on the french facebook page that there are a few of them who actually lost there on cobbled street.

I lost my front-fairing panel in a not-so bumpy ride - after only 1000 miles. Could you point me to said french facebook page?

Hi here is the french facebook page, you may have to scroll down a bit it's been a while that the message pass.
I don't have a facebook account but for a reason that I don't know I have access to it.
Hope you find something.

Sorry I forgot the link of the page

Just noticed this the other day on a bumpy road but usual route. I've had the bike a year without noticing. I've had the front cover off and on but it is back on properly. Like felipearango I did not find root cause. I was thinking of may be putting some weather stripping on.
