Please Help. Where to find parts?

Just got my 650GT in red. Went for the first christening long distance ride and went down

Hit a hidden oil patch making a left from a gas station. Bike has less than 200 miles on it and now my left side and lateral trims are scratched up.

Looked on ebay didn't find anything. When I look at BMW catalogs online it says NA.

Other than having BMW order me the parts is there any other site you would recommend where I can save some money?

From the catalog it looks like I need 46 63 8 529 702 SIDE TRIM, UPPER LEFT and LATERAL TRIM PANEL FRONT LEFT

Sorry to hear about your mishap. I also had a similar problem my third day of ownership, although not as bad. My guess is that parts will have to come from your dealer, if they'll sell them to you.

Both parts are available from the dealer and should be <$200 each. I've replaced both that lower front fairing and the entire footpiece (the big black piece you step on) and was surprised the parts weren't that expensive (considering it's a BMW).

I had an idea...one of the forum members "Vazbro", whom I've met as we bought our scoots from the same dealer, did a beautiful job vinyl wrapping his bike. If you were interested in a 100% stock repair, I suppose Motorrad would be the only option at the moment, but something like a vinyl wrap would be cost effective and custom alternative.

The bike is probably too new to show up at "The Beemer Boneyard" but you can look anyway:

You could try Bike Bandit I have had good luck with them on getting parts and the parts are usually OEM in the box since the BMW scooter is a new bike they may not have it but I have got parts (tupper ware) for a bike that was only a year and half out in the market good luck in your search
