Sticking Heated Grips button.

The Heated Grips button has started sticking down and not releasing back up again. I've tried spraying WD40 down the side of it but to no avail.
I'll have to buy a long reach Torx key to get it off, which is also quite annoying, but in the meantime, has anyone else had this problem?

You're right. Wasn't sure where I stand as the main warranty will have expired by now but I bought it from a dealer(demo bike) with a year's warranty. Should be the same thing right?

Not sure how it works in the UK. Here in the States, as far as the warranty is concerned, a demo bike is a "New" bike in that it has never been titled. Also, we have 3 years/36,000 miles, not just one year.

In the US there was a factory service bulletin to replace the handlebar switches at BMW's expense due to problems with them. Might be worth looking into.

As per my other post about the running problem - the dealer's just told me that they've replaced the switch under warranty. What a result!
BMW after service rules!
:D
