C 400: Anyone Used Michelin "City Grip 2" Tires?

As a consequence of reading the recent posts here, I went out to the garage and did some tread-depth measurement.

I had measured the City Grip 2 max depth, when new, at 6/32 and 7/32 (F/R). Now, they're about 4/32 and 5/32. That's after almost exactly 4,000 miles on them, so it looks as if their longevity will be satisfactory (in answer to a question I posed for myself, post #12 here).

That's very useful information. Around 4,000 miles (6,400 km) with that amount of wear sounds quite reasonable to me, especially considering how many riders praise the City Grip 2 for its wet-weather grip.

It's good to know that the longevity also seems to be satisfactory. Together with all the positive feedback I've read, it makes me even more confident that the City Grip 2 will be my next set of tires.
