Same as Delray.
Note of caution: on my bike, when I opened it up it turned to have a no. 2 rail in there from new, not a1! So there's a small probability yours has a '2' as well and you need a '3' like I did.
Search for threads discussing the hydraulic cam chain tensioner. Seeing an oil line run someplace on the engine confirms whether you have the newer or older version. Or, I would say that if the bike you're looking at is from november or later (manufactured, not sold) then it is most likely the...
C'mon now Bill, we need precision, not vague guesses:
"And here's the same coiled cord I've been using for heated gear for 16 or 17 years now:"
:giggle::giggle::giggle::LOL:
The oil filter on my Mercedes 250GLK was unmovable with a standard autoparts store wrench even though it was the correct size, just spun on the filter. So I got one of the more precisely machined, heavier duty ones off Amazon and that works perfectly.
Your small oil screen filter may have gone...
My guess would be that the additional slots are either for options (heated grips and?) or BMW likes to use a standard fuse block for a range of bikes rather than a specific one for each model.
Somewhere on this forum is a thread that describes the conversion process and parts; unless you get confirmation here from someone who knows for sure, you may want to check out that particular thread.
Good luck; I've decided to stick to just replacing the mechanical tensioner on my 2016 Sport...
Thanks, I have tested the forks/alignment etc since then, fortunately no issues.
In other news, I realized the other day that my vibration at 85 mph+ coming from the rear wheel (was serious until I got the tire re-balanced, now less but still there. Next I plan to change one of the 2 bearings)...
Mine came with a no. 2 rail new from the factory (to my surprise) so don't assume it has a no. 1 currently.
To answer your question: you take out the one that's in there now and put in the next size up.
I decided to get the whole series so have 1, 2, 3 and 4 with no. 3 currently in there...
Dobar dan Dario!
I'll be in Split for 10 days in September, I have many colleagues there and have been coming to Split since 2016. Tough language! Very similar climate to Southern California so perfect for a scooter.
Someone backed into mine that was parked rear tire to the curb. Pushed the bike ONTO the curb but despite leaning vicariously on its side stand, it did not fall over fortunately. Front fender was broken and that was the only damage. I was able to epoxy the tabs back on so all good, but no note...
As per the photo, there are supposed to be several screws holding it in, plus I think two press-fit pins. It's impossible to have it fly off unless (most of) the screws are missing. The dealership's explanation makes 0 sense, they're just trying to avoid responsibility. Best would be to go back...
Must be some way to remove the sensor, possibly by loosening engine mounts/fixings and moving it so that more clearance can be had? Maybe check the official BMW shop manual for instructions. I am not near mine for a couple of months but perhaps someone else can check for you if you don't have a...
