    Handlebar locking

I tried your combination, but it didn't work for me. Oddly enough, after playing around with it, my secret combination is: -Turn off bike -Turn handlebars all the way to the left -Hold in start button until it acts like clicks as if it's locked, but it won't really be locked -Move handlebars an...

    Fantastic Tracker - Monimoto 7

Very smart. I hadn't thought of doing that.

    Handlebar locking

I find it's really hit and miss (more miss than hit) to get my handlebar locking to work. Anyone else having this issue? Is there a trick to it or does it need to be fixed by the dealer? Ron Grimes

What Does This Mean - Battery

Thanks, Bob. That puts my mind at ease about my battery having issues. Ron

What Does This Mean - Battery

I'm used to the battery warning when the scooter is charged to 100% and it can't do regenerative charging. But, this showed up in spite of it saying right below it that the battery is "OK". Any ideas what it means? I tried scrolling through the menus to see if there was a message, but didn't...

    CE-04 Taillight Solution

Interesting! I'm current a front-end developer for a DB company, FairCom. You've probably never heard of it, but we're in the most critical high-volume transaction environments. All stock market transactions, airline flights, 911 calls go through our database.

    CE-04 Taillight Solution

Turns out I did have a torx bit set in my DeWalt set of tools. Just never used them before - except maybe when I replaced my windscreen. That's about the extent of my mechanical abilities. I'm a software engineer, not a hardward guy. :)

    CE-04 Taillight Solution

Thanks for the info. And no, I haven't needed to take off any panels or such so far. I'll order the torx as you suggest.

    CE-04 Taillight Solution

So, it came in, but it looks like I have to remove the collar currently on the light to attach the new piece. My trouble is, I have no idea what to use to remove the current screw/bolt. None of my hex heads (metric or otherwise) seems to fit). I tried to take a picture of it. Hopefully, someone...

    CE-04 Taillight Solution

Unfortunately, it looks like this guy's life on Etsy was short-lived. I do have a shipment confirmation, but I was subsequently notified by Etsy that he's no longer selling on their site. So, I hope this turns out to be a good purchase. If not, I'll be out $120.

I'll be sure to let you guys know. It'll be here sometime in March as it's being shipped from the Netherlands.

    CE-04 Taillight Solution

I just ordered this (see BMWELECTRICMOTORRAD at Etsy). Seems like a nicely done, very solid solution.

Dark Smoke Puig on Avantgarde Model

Nice bike! Not much wind protection though. Were I to get a bike for longer distances, I would probably just keep my CE-04 as it is still great for my short commutes. I don't think I would get out of this scooter enough to make me feel good about trading it in. I know I got a crap deal...

    Check High Beams

Thanks for the info. Is there some logic behind that? I'm glad my car doesn't do that. :)

    Check High Beams

After 15 months with this bike, I pulled up behind a pickup where I could see my reflection pretty well. I don't know why it occurred to me, but I thought that would be a great time to check my high beams, which led me to discover only the left one comes on. So, since it's not something you...

    DWA Alarm Available for CE-04

Yes, I have both the OEM alarm and the Monimoto. Just don't ever forget the fob when you go to ride or you'll be annoyed the whole time with phone calls telling you that your bike has been stolen.

    Underwater Scooter Technology

This poorly inspired idea makes me think ... just like not every thought that pops into your head is worth verbalizing, likewise not every idea that pops into your head is one you should act on.

    Speed Accuracy

So, let's see. The police generally give 5 mph over lenience. My bike's speedometer is 3 miles over actual speed. I guess that means I'm safe going 48mph in a 40mph zone. That's the real motivation of my post.
