    CVT Maintenance, noisy, normal?

It is noisy when closed? Is the belt original or cheap Chinese knock-off from ebay? Noise can come from anywhere, so checking all parts and tolerances acc. Service Manual is part of the CVT maintenance game.

    Dr. Pulley 36-gram Slider/Rollers

36g is way too much drop from the stock 43g. I found a happy point with Dr. Pulley's SR-series 42g rollers (non-round), because of their different shape the effect is exacerbated further. Next time I might just go for the 43g SR (sliding rollers).

Why am I enjoying this 650GT so much??

All you need is try to put my Aprilia SRV850 onto the central stand. GS or GT feel like toys after that. With its 275Kg kerb weight, it is a cruza-scoot. I am literally forcing myself not to “pull the clutch in” at stops as the weight feeling and vibes from its 90 degree twin are very cruisery...

    CVT Maintenance, noisy, normal?

No mine does not sound like this, but it is a different model. What I hear in your video is shaft play (because shaft ends are not held by the cover bearings) and, during deceleration, belt play - this can happen if variator or clutch nuts were not torqued up to spec. Have you torqued them up...

    CVT Maintenance, noisy, normal?

Yeah, my bad. Unlike my C650, they decided not to extend the courtesy of showing this in the Rider Manual for C400, despite me assuming so. You might want to check a similar product (round rollers) from Dr.Pulley’s and relevant descriptions, or…gush…get the Service Station Manual for C400. NB...

    CVT Maintenance, noisy, normal?

The manual should have instructions regarding way to install. As for the noise, you have the cover off so that’s expected to be louder.

Dark Smoke Puig 9014F for C650 Sport, Melbourne

This medium-sized screen is optimal for styling, compared to original silly screen. A$100 Very lightly used. Can ship in Australia (PayPal payment as "gift" required) I also sell the original if you crashed yours but like it

    C650GT Runs On 1 Cylinder, Then 2

Buy the manual, or take it to a dealer/mechanic.

AGM or lead acid? Need a new battery after 5 years

Perhaps that is the difference between liquid acid and AGM types, longevity? I have not seen AGMs last more than about 5-7 years but I am not a technician, talking just about my own vehicles.

    Michelin Power Shift

Has anyone tried these new tyres? They seem to have replaced the Pilot Roads with these “shifty” tyres. Name is funny, given the scooter connotations.

    Yellow Caution Triangle (LAMP)

You really need to read the error codes from that OBD connector. Also check your battery voltage and health, sometimes lower battery or oxidised/lose battery connectors give glitches.

EWS! motor won't start w/either key

Remove all other ignition keys from the same ring as the ignition key used for the vehicle. Use the second ignition key. Have the defective ignition key replaced, preferably by an authorised BMW Motorrad dealer

    Chinese Scooters

Pardon necroposting out of too much time on my hands (bad rainy winter here in Oz) but - z) KYMCO is a great company; y) AK550 is bad to me because - Noodoe dashboard is a PWM screen (flicker) so causes eye strain and migraines, and is a gimmick anyway, I much prefer T-Max IronMax's analog dash...

    BMW Doncaster

BMW Doncaster are not geared up to service C650 transmission! (drat) I was suprised to learn this after 3d wait. They have charged me A$650 for a major service including valve check but somehow excluding belt-roller-slider replacement (!) Never again. Let them service coppers' 1250GSes

Key won’t go out c650 sport

I would also rub some oil onto the key with an old toothbrush.

    end of J. Costa

Latest update. After having ridden 10k km with OEM variator and 42g Sliding Rollers by Dr.Pulley, I am more convinced that I would be happier with SR but of the original weight 43g. The slight over-revving I enjoy comes at small price of gearing ratio progress, which I want to speed up a bit...

When you think of upgrading from a C650, what bikes you consider?

I got an Aprilia SRV 850 for a second bike. Nice power but it needs some work to make it great for me. Suspension is better than R1300GS i swear (for bad tarmac).

Why am I enjoying this 650GT so much??

BTW I have just gotten Aprilia SRV 850 for my second bike. It is better for touring, a little worse in the corners. Much more plush suspension. And it needs a lot of customization work! (Just like my C650 Sport did) If you have С650 GT, you need no SRV 850 ;)

Engine stalling when slowing - test idle control device?

Wow. Congrats! Do you own the tools or was this your mechanic's?

Hesitation has been taken care finally

This could have been a belt slip then. When the belt is worn it is narrower so it slips more at lower RPMs. Rollers have nowhere to go, and the mass is not significantly decreased (not really discernable e.g. much less than 0.5g) so centrifugal flyout is the same but if they are worn too, lesser...
