    For fun: Average speed?

So..what's your _long term_ average speed? Bought mine new in Feb 2019, and I haven't touched the average speed counter.. Before covid, I was in the mid 38.x range, and was hard to "keep up". Parked the bike in March 2020, left knee sucked hard to get on/off and move in in and out of the...

Running out of gas? Handy GT tip ....

So...the more miles you drive, the more stable the -average- becomes.... 17000 miles, thats your average..

    Master Wiring Diagram??

..someday, a standalone ECU. There just isn't that much on the bike to begin with at it's core...airflow, injectors, spark control...5-6 engine position and temp/pressure senders, maybe a PWM driven fuel pump?

Fuel Smell after a ride ('19 GT)

Side panels..you get used to it. This didnt fully solve the problem..but it was clearly a wet vapor problem -there-.

Slow rolling starts make a horrible noise..

Ya I dont know..it feels like something is binding up when it happens...not a slip/squeal. I dont do slow starts..so..the throttle gets plenty of hard use. Except when it does this. Ill try to record it next week.

Slow rolling starts make a horrible noise..

Im I'm approaching a red light, and I'm almost stopped and it goes green, I cant just go to WOT and go. Sometimes there's a horrible squealing noise, and no rpm rise in the engine. If I back off the gas, pause a second, and give it gas slowly..it's fine. I would like a non BMW shop that be a...

    Hesitation at slow steady speed

I had this. I felt it was a vaccum leak, pulled the panels, and found hydrocarbon/fuel leaking/staining at the rubber boots that meet the throttle body to the head. The clamps were not tight. NO WAY at 5,000 miles you should have that much fuel vapor leaking. My bike still reeks of fuel after...

    Gen 1/2 Seat Plate

I bought a used Corbin seat..not a bad seat..but.. Only the upper two bolts to the plate match, the lower two do not, and corbin doesnt fit with the two front studs that further locate the seat, either. :/ I guess I dont mind having to center the seat to secure it to the latch, but..ARE there...

    Rear rotor change going south..

Nah, New ones, I dont believe in turing rotors. Mass is how they work. Malossi Wave rotors I ordered ages ago are going on as they need it.

    Rear rotor change going south..

    Enter, a chisel.

    Rear rotor change going south..

All was going well, but -1- rotor screw stripped...the tool slipped at the last Nm of force to break it free. Am I pulling the hub now to get this off and drill it out? Whats involved in that..just the ring with the three bolts holding it?

Riding at slow speeds (in congestion)

Your interstates and state highways are the same size as everyone elses. lesser roads are up to your own local rules, but still usually standard as everyone elses. Same trucks use em...

Riding at slow speeds (in congestion)

Been doing this for 20yrs in the SF Bay Area...aint nobody been "jealous" enough to go to jail in front of a handful of dash cameras. The 650gt fits here nicely. Better than the Burgman.

Riding at slow speeds (in congestion)

What's a temperature gauge? No reason a maintained water cooled engine will overheat.
