SOLD-GIVI C650GT Side cases and mount for sale

The thread is marked 'sold' so they're most likely no longer available.

    c650gt 2014 starting issue

Starter is right above the cylinders in the above picture. Looks like a lot of work to get to!

    c650gt 2014 starting issue

To get to the battery, pop off the small-ish central front cover, which provides access to a few screws to undo. More screws on the rear of the panel covering the battery. Then pop off that side cover. I believe it is covered in the owners handbook, which is downloadable from BMW'S motorrad...

    c650gt 2014 starting issue

I suggest checking the ECU for trouble codes, that might point to the culprit.

Traded my C650GT for a Goldwing DCT

That's quite a change! Enjoy and maybe keep checking in on us every once in a while.

Using a 12V Accessory Port for a Battery Tender

If the 12v accessory port in only 'live' when the ignition is on (I believe it is) then you can't trickle charge the battery with it. Most chargers come with a pigtail that you can attach to the battery, then plug the charger into whenever needed. So you only have to take the side cover off once.

    looking for Rotor

I can't quite imagine how a below-thickness-spec rear brake disc can interfere with the functioning of the kickstand brake. I recently adjusted my kickstand brake because it was no longer holding firmly (likely due to the rear disc wearing, as is normal). Can't remember now how the adjustment...

Hi, I’m looking for BMW C650 (K18/K19) REPROM or DVD manual. Can someone share?

Sorry no idea, but maybe you can go through the detailed parts diagrams to locate this screw?

Hello from Greenville, South Carolina! "Houston We Have A Problem."

Normally a beeping sound means the circuit is good (continuity). I suggest you get the Motoscan app and check for fault codes. You know you have to apply one of the brakes to get the bike to crank? (Besides the side stand being 'in')?

    Rear shock, is this normal?

Hmmm, now that we know it's a spherical bearing, I would say that, so long as there is 0 up and down movement, meaning that, vertically, there is no play, and also laterally the only movement is a rotational one and not a 'side-to-side' movement, then you're probably fine.

    Rear shock, is this normal?

I just tried to manipulate my rear shock, without taking off the protective cover that it looks like you had to in order to get to the top bolt/mounting point. But I tried firmly tugging at the shock, trying to get any movement at all in the unit, with 0 result. Bike on the center stand so no...

    Chigee AIO-5 Play for BMW

That Chigee screen looks better than the bike's original one. Can you just delete that BMW screen? Much cleaner look also. Wonder why BMW doesn't just offer the functionality that Chigee does so owners don't have to go through all this. In the K1600 community there's also no end to similar...

    Commuter gear?

Hmmm ... this 'Motoport' place in San Diego seems to have 'borrowed' their logo from a Dutch motorcycle accessories chain. It's not too far from where I live (I mean here in Southern California. I used to live close to one of the Dutch motoport stores):

    C600 Starter Motor

Not here but that quote sounds incredibly high - perhaps just very time consuming to change it out? The motor itself can't be all that expensive, if it is maybe source a used one off a low mileage parts bike. You could try doing the job yourself or take it to an independent shop for a second...

    Motoscan app and service indicator

Great it worked! I still use the same method as well..

    Commuter gear?

I just wear appropriately sized jacket and pants over my regular clothes, works fine. You don't have a bathroom at work you could change in? Yes a top case should accomodate at least the jacket and pants. For the helmet you could use a helmet lock.

Utter nonsense from my City planners - jus' for a laugh. I have replied as you might expect

Yes I am aware. But I have also been/lived in many a Western European city where the number of motorcycles/scooters is such that it does create congestion/hazard for vehicles using designated (bus/taxi) lanes such as in Madrid, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Geneva. So I am not surprised by your city...

Hi, I’m looking for BMW C650 (K18/K19) REPROM or DVD manual. Can someone share?

I've not seen these as a downloadable link. You may have to do what I did, which is to buy one off Ebay for a small amount (like $25).
